As a warehouse worker at Picnic, you collect groceries for our customers. You easily take 20.000 steps during a single shift, so you're guaranteed to have an active workday. You pack various products, from coffee beans to bottles of water. This can include chilled items like milk, which means you'll occasionally work in the chilled area (2-4°C). For those shifts, you will, of course, wear a warm sweater or jacket provided by us.

As a warehouse worker at Picnic, you earn €16,19 per hour, including holiday pay, regardless of your age. You also receive travel allowance (for distances of 10-40 km per one-way trip) and free meals during your shift.

If you have worked more than 32 weeks, your salary will automatically increase.

Picnic warehouse workers get paid every week. If you prefer, you can also choose to be paid every four weeks. This way, you always know where you stand and have money in your account on time.

No. We are looking for employees who can commit to working with Picnic for a long period of time. Because we expect a higher workload from September onwards and invest significant time in onboarding and training new team members, we do not offer summer, seasonal, or other temporary positions.

As a Picnic warehouse worker, you prepare groceries for hundreds of customers. During your shift, you pack various products, from coffee beans to bottles of water. You'll be walking and moving a lot during your shift, it's like you're being paid to work out!

You use a cart and a scanner to collect the groceries. The scanner shows you exactly which items to pack. This also gives your team leader insight into your work and helps them coach you better.

You work in different sections:

• Ambient: products at room temperature
• Chilled (2-4°C): refrigerated products like milk and yogurt

After packing, you ensure the crates are ready for shipment. During your shift, we provide a free warm lunch or dinner. During your break, there’s also time to relax or challenge your colleagues to a game of pool or table tennis!

At some locations we're currently looking for lots of new colleagues, so you can earn a bit more there. This works in two ways.

1. Fixed supplement: you get this automatically

The supplement applies to all hours you work and is paid out automatically with your salary. The supplement runs until the end of December 2026.

• Zwolle & Dordrecht: €1.00 extra per hour worked. You then earn €17.19 per hour (incl. holiday allowance).
• Ridderkerk: €0.70 extra per hour worked. You then earn €16.89 per hour (incl. holiday allowance).

2. Bonus: you earn this through your performance

In Eindhoven and Heerenveen we work with a bonus. Work well and safely? Then you'll earn up to €2.00 gross extra per hour worked. That brings you to a maximum of €18.19 per hour (incl. holiday allowance).

How much bonus you get depends on your own performance and that of your location. You'll see the bonus in your salary.

Working hours as a Warehouse Worker at Picnic are very flexible. You can work the following shifts:

• 06:00 – 15:00

• 15:00 – 00:00

• 18:00 – 00:00 (Student shift 🎓)

If you are a student, you can also work one weekday evening (from 18:00) and one shift on the weekend.

Good to know:

• Our warehouses are open 7 days a week
• You are available for at least 2 fixed days per week, one of which must be a weekend day
• You are looking for a long-term position
• You work a minimum of 16 to a maximum of 40 hours per week. This is done part-time or full-time in 8-hour shifts
• You submit your availability every Sunday. We try our best to accommodate your preferences when planning the schedule

• You can work on one fixed day during the weekend
• You speak and understand basic Dutch or English

Additionally, we require that you have one of the following:

• Dutch nationality; or
• An EU nationality and a valid Dutch Citizen Service Number (BSN); or
• A non-EU nationality with a valid work permit and a Dutch BSN.

Yes! As a warehouse worker at Picnic, you receive a travel allowance if you live more than 10 kilometers from the warehouse. We reimburse €0,21 per kilometer for a maximum of 80 kilometers per day (round trip).

Examples:

• You live 9 km from the warehouse →  no reimbursement
• You live 20 km from the warehouse → full reimbursement
• You live 50 km from the warehouse → reimbursement up to a maximum of 40 km per one-way trip (80 km round trip)
