Logistics Safety & Quality Supervisor
In a Nutshell
At Picnic, we collect thousands of groceries daily for our customers in our Fulfillment Centers (FCs) and from here they are delivered via our last mile delivery location (hubs) to our customers using our Electric Picnic Vehicles every day (EPV's)! With over 250 team members in each FC, everyone works hard to ensure timely delivery. Shoppers gather groceries, while lead shoppers, shift leads and Supervisors lead and streamline operations. As a Logistics Safety and Quality Supervisor, you are operationally responsible for safety within a Fulfilment Center. You ensure a physically and mentally safe and well-organized working environment by implementing 6S principles and Lean disciplines.
You work closely with the local Operations team at FC9 in Dordrecht, the Building Infrastructure team, and other stakeholders to make sure everyone gets home safely every day. You’re a coach, auditor, and troubleshooter on the work floor.
What you will do
Ensuring Safety & Quality:
Investigate how operational processes and people interact, using data and observations.
Plan, introduce, and manage safety measures.
Conduct Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) after incidents and implement preventive actions.
Improvement & Coaching:
Design and implement safety and process improvements together with stakeholders.
Safeguard Lean discipline by actively coaching leadership and addressing deviations from work standards.
Audits & Compliance:
Conduct internal audits in the areas of quality and safety to comply with laws and certifications.
Ensure that procedures are followed not only on paper but also in practice.
Maintain the building and workplaces in a safe condition.
