Early bird or night owl? As a delivery runner, you plan your own shifts. They last 2 to 3 hours and are available in the morning, afternoon, and evening. You can combine multiple shifts (for example: 14:00 – 22:30).

However you call yourself—Runner, delivery person, courier, or food driver—you’re the face of Picnic. You hit the road with the iconic Picnic cart and make sure the groceries reach our customers on time. The working hours are super flexible because you choose the shifts that suit you. Ideal if you’re a student or looking for an afternoon or evening side hustle!
On top of this salary, you’ll also receive tips, potential peak hour bonuses, and free snacks.
Yes! So whether you prefer weekdays or want to hustle on weekends, it’s up to you. Use an app to claim the shifts you want every week. We do ask you to be available for at least 6 fixed time slots each week—just in case we need you. You’ll choose these shifts in consultation with your manager. If a shift doesn’t work for you, you can swap with someone else up to a day before!*

No, many delivery drivers come from diverse backgrounds—some were rider, food couriers, or package deliverers, while others transitioned from hospitality, shelf stacking, or sales roles. We provide comprehensive training, making you fully ready to hit the road!

The delivery driver position is generally part-time. The number of hours depends on your location and our delivery demand. If you’re quick to schedule your shifts, you can almost always work when you want. The average delivery driver at Picnic works 16 hours per week.
No. With over 60 locations, if you live within our delivery area, your nearest hub is always within cycling distance. If you live outside our delivery area or want a travel expense reimbursement, consider applying for the warehouse staff vacancy.
